I heard “Covered by the Son” and had a vision of a giant sun shinning behind a woman. And I thought of the multidimensional purpose of the sun, whose job isn’t only to illuminate the earth. But to cover it with its warmth, allow it to grow, protect it. “For the Lord God is brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise! Wrapping himself around me like a shield, he is so generous with his gifts of grace and glory.” Pslam 84:11. The sun is but a small analogy to the glory of God. A small fragment, a taste, of who he is. And yet we can’t even perceive the sun to its fullness. I want to explore the sort of polysemy of sun = son, and play around with that vision bc truly there are endless ways to communicate it.
