Origins
God gifted me with the love for art from a very young age, and as I grew up this gift took on many forms. My art practice really picked up whenever I drifted off from the original plan he had for me, away from his love. During this time, I created art channeled by the darkness that surrounded me as I believed that it was meant as a medium for self expression and self examination. This selfish perspective of what my art was "meant" to be kept me in bondage for a long time even after I was saved by Jesus, as the enemy made me believe no one was ever meant to see my art and that God could never use me.
Redemption
Through a miraculous touch of the Holy Spirit, I was radically delivered from all the lies and bondage the enemy had spoken over my life. After months of praying so that God would use me for His glory, he began to breath new life into my art. I began to see into the heavenly realm and the beauty that resides within the presence of the Holy Spirit. I began to see visions and receive messages that would later become the centerpieces for my paintings.
prophecy
In September of 2021 after I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, my hands were prophecied over as I was told that they were anointed by God and that he would use them to bring healing. That day changed my life forever.
In April 22, 2022, I received a second prophecy. After a sequence of synchronicities ordained by God, a prophet asked to pray for me after God revealed to him the calling he had placed in my life.
Rise up and draw the things I’m about to show you,” said the Lord.
Through him, God told me that he was going to ascend my art on to new levels of divine revelations, heavenly encounters, and prophetic visions. Before I could receive however , I had to be be free of lies, and word curses from the enemy. Jesus freed me that night, and I am now walking in the full calling he anointed me with from the day of my conception. All glory be to God!
1 Corinthians 14 says to "Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy...the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation."
Prophetic art simply means to create art through the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to convey a message. I trust that his prophecy over my life is true and I will keep pursuing his will so that he's able to use my
as a vessel of love and encouragement to others.
